Let the Sparks Fly! – Singapore Open Top 16 and MSS Champion VGC’17 Team Report

Hey guys,

Isaac Lam here again, dropping by one final time this year with a quick word on the final iteration of my Surge Offense team, which I used to finish in the Top 16 of the recent 2018 season Singapore Open I, and win its accompanying Mid-Season Showdown. If you haven’t read my previous report yet, do give it a look here – it explains the fundamentals and origins of the team, which I won’t touch on much today.

Electro Balling to 3rd – a 3rd place LatAm Seniors Report

Report posted on behalf of Matthias (@Mattadome02).

Hey guys, I’m Matthias Teo and I play in the Seniors division, where I recently got 3rd at the 2017 Latin America International Championships. With it being my first year playing VGC with a competitive mindset and a hunger for the World Championships, I thought it would be a pretty good idea to write about the choices I made in the season up ‘till now, both in my play and in teambuilding. Redesign, Rebuild, Reclaim and Report – Singapore Open II Top 4 Report

Greetings, readers!

This is Eugene Tan and I’m back writing a report on the Singapore Open II tournament. This team was built together with Martin back in February this year. In my opinion, it’s hard to pilot this team right now as it is outdated, though surprisingly, it was strong enough to take me to a Top 4 finish this tournament.

NOTE: The team’s dated origins unfortunately mean that I’ve forgotten some of the specific targets my EV spreads hit. Regardless, I think they’re mostly outdated and wouldn’t recommend ripping them anymore.   Continue reading “Redesign, Rebuild, Reclaim and Report – Singapore Open II Top 4 Report”

Ballooning with the Hiao Lele – Oceania Internationals 2017 Top 32 Report

Introduction

Greetings to all, I’m Martin Tan, also known among my peers in the Singapore VGC community as mewmart. I last wrote a team report in 2015 after my Top 32 finish at the inaugural Singapore Nationals Championships. It feels really surreal to once again be able to share with the community my thoughts, reflections, and insight on the VGC 2017 season thus far.
